One of the less celebrated but still one of the best lagers made in Bavaria. Andechs Vollbier is a rich, biscuity lager with lots of sweetness to balance the crisp bitterness of the Bavarian-grown hops. Still made at the monastery that bears its name, this is a glass of brewing history but still as modern and delicious as ever.
