The aroma of the hazy, golden beer is all banana, clove and Christmas spice, witha bready bittersweetness on the tongue before a clean, bittter finish. It makes a fantastic summer sipper but also a great fireside beer when served a little warmer.

    BEER NOTES: Just the second beer from one of our favourite discoveries in the world of beer. This donker is a rich, dark ale with lots of banana, raisin, port and caramel notes that competes with the traditional dubbels of the Trappist abbeys. It's made at a brewery we stumbled across while doing a road trip in Belgium, where founder Geert Toye built the brewery himself, from scratch and continues to brew all the beer himself too. He is a legend, and his beers deserve to be too.
    FOOD & BEER: Delicious with steak, rich Flemish stews and hard cheeses.
