St Bernardus Abt 12
Absolutely top drawer Belgian Quadruple ale - rich and complex, with notes of figs, plums and loads of raisins. THe recipe comes from when the brewery used to make beers for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren, and many compare this beer favourably to the world-famous Westvleteren 12. Us included.
FOOD & BEER:
Incredible with lamb and rich, sticky stews, as well as hard cheeses, cured meats and even dark chocolate puddings.
