    LAMBIC RASPBERRY BEER

    Lembeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: A beautiful framboise from one of Belgium’s great lambic houses. Old and new lambic beers are blended to form gueuze, in which fresh raspberries are indulgently steeped. An immense raspberry bouquet and a pleasing tartness balances the initial sweetness of the fruit.
FOOD & BEER: Excellent as an aperitif or with light salads, goat's cheese and terrines. Also works well as a contrast to creamy desserts such as cheesecake.
    BEER INFORMATION: 12 x 375ml bottles (5% abv)

    LAMBIC CHERRY BEER

    Lembeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Possibly the definitive Belgian kriek from this much-vaunted traditional lambic producer. Whole fresh cherries are crammed into oak casks of spontaneously fermented beer, which is then aged for two years. The result is a ruby red beer with a pinkish tinged head, singing with sweet sour cherry flavour, background wood notes and a pleasing tart finish.
FOOD & BEER: Classic accompaniment to rabbit and duck. Refreshing tartness also cuts through chocolate and cream-based desserts.
    BEER INFORMATION: 12 x 375ml bottles (4.5% abv)
  • Boon Mariage Parfait Kriek
  • Boon Mariage Parfait Kriek

    Lambic cherry beer

    Lembeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Kriek Boon Mariage Parfait consists of 1 year-old heavy lambic flavoured with 400 grams of overripe cherries per litre. Longer ageing in small barrels gives it its special oaky flavour, before it is bottled and stored in an air-conditioned room for six months of secondary fermentation. It keeps for a minimum 20 years, and is ready to drink after about 2 years in the bottle. This is perfection in kriek beers – try it and admit that it surpasses the best wine.
FOOD & BEER: Brilliant with dark meats, especially duck, and simply incredible with dark chocolate.
    BEER INFORMATION: 12 x 375ml bottle (8% abv)

  • Lindemans Faro

    SOUR BEER

    Vlezenbeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Lindemans faro is a traditional gueuze made with candy sugar during the fermentation process. The candy sugar rounds off the sourness of the original beer, and adds a brown sugar-depth to create a "candied lambic". Perfect for getting in to sour beers, and for matching sours with heavier food.
FOOD & BEER: The sugar adds a sweet depth that makes this a refreshing match with heavy stews, but it is at its best with citric fruits in puddings.
    BEER INFORMATION: 24 x 250ml bottles (4.5% abv)

    BELGIAN LAMBIC

    Vlezenbeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Lindemans gueuze is a naturally fermented beer made with barley and wheat malt. The beer is brewed as a normal beer, before being exposed to the natural yeasts and fauna in the air. The beer is then barrelled to ferment and age for up to three years, before being bottled. It has a crisp, sour ciderous taste, with the aroma of Champagne.
FOOD & BEER: It is the traditional beer for carbonnade, and makes a great accompaniment to seafood and other salty meals. It`s also delicious with cream sauces.

    BELGIAN WILD BEER

    Vlezenbeek, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Lindemans' most traditional beer. Left to be infected by natural yeasts and fauna in the air, this beer is then aged in barrels for up to three years and blended before being bottled and aged again using the same methods as Champagne makers. After six months the gueuze obtains a golden colour and a cidery, winey palate; reminiscent, perhaps, of dry complex vermouth.
FOOD & BEER: It is the traditional beer for carbonnade, as well as being a beautiful accompaniment to seafood and other salty meals.
    BEER INFORMATION: 12 x 375ml (5.5% abv)

    Flemish Red Ale

    Roeselare, Belgium
BEER NOTES: Rodenbach Grand Cru is the definitive Flemish red ale – a sour amber beer only made in northern Belgium. The amber beer is aged in wooden casks for at least 2 years, then blended to get the characteristic green apple and red currant flavours, with a big whack of sourness.
