Located in the back streets of Hackney, The Kenton is warm and welcoming local pub that has it all. Reopened in 2009 by it’s current owner Egil - who may just be one of the UK’s biggest Big Wave fans - it’s the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a quality beer.  Located on the corner of Kenton Rd a bright yellow beacon sits awaiting, as soon as you enter the pub the colourful decor catches your eye with neon signs, taxidermy, figurines and posters from years gone by jumping out.  Awaiting you at the bar are fonts from our favourites in Paulaner and Big Wave, two greats that have been become staples of The Kenton’s outstanding beer range. The tap list continues to Lervig – Sour Suzy and Cloudwater’s delicious Fuzzy.  Recently joining the taps are Floc and their brilliant Pale Ale - Whisper. Around the other side of the bar Delirium Tremens pours alongside four rotating lines that have some interesting for everyone.

There really is something for everyone, making the Kenton the best place to meet friends for a casual drink, it also has a reputation for a cracking Sunday roast with the locals returning Sunday after Sunday. As well as a packed sports schedule on the big screens bringing the very best of the Football and Rugby world, a well curated playlist rings out selected by the knowledgeable and friendly bar manager Morgan. Another amazing feature of The Kenton is the beer garden and hidden nook out the back shelter away it’s a quiet place to talk the night away with pals. The weekly quiz is a challenging affair with winners taking home a rolling pot and trophy.   Egil and the team have done an incredible job creating the perfect back street boozer focused around community, great service and fantastic beers, it really is a second home for many and for those visiting for the first time it’s somewhere that keeps pulling you back for great nights.
