Lervig’s House Party Session IPA has always been about big flavour and now it’s even more accessible. Lervig recently announced a new version of the brew which makes it completely gluten-free, delivering the same bright, juicy character the beer is known for, just without the gluten.

This isn’t a compromise or a tweak, it’s the same House Party people already love. A light biscuit base, punchy citrus and tropical notes and that crisp, refreshing finish that keeps you going back for more. The only difference is that now more people can enjoy it, making it a genuinely inclusive beer that still delivers on quality.

There are brewery visits and then there are Stiegl visits.

Earlier this year we were lucky enough to be hosted by Stiegl Brewery for a trip that perfectly summed up what the brewery is all about: independence, quality, hospitality and a deep connection to place. From Salzburg to Wildshut and finally up into the mountains for a few days of skiing, it was an experience that blended beer, food and culture in the best possible way.

From the moment we landed in Salzburg, Austria did what it does best. A proper schnitzel for lunch in the city set the tone nicely before heading straight into the heart of things: the brewery itself.

For decades, Celebration has been poured in keg and bottle, bursting with citrus zest, pine resin and that unapologetic Sierra snap of bitterness. But pulling it through a handpump? That changes everything. Cask brings a creamy mouthfeel, a mellow rounded warmth and a depth that makes the hops glow. Like meeting an old friend with a new personality.

If you know and love Sierra Nevada’s iconic festive release Celebration. All pine, citrus, and unapologetically bold hop character, then imagine taking those legendary whole-cone dry hop bags… squeezing every last drop of flavour from them… and turning that concentrated hop essence into its own beer. That’s Celly Drippins. It’s deeper, richer, more intense. Like Celebration, but dialled up.

Until now, it’s been a beer known only to pour in Sierra Nevada taprooms. In Chico, California and Fletcher, North Carolina. Never brewed for distribution. Never exported. Never served elsewhere.

It is a rainy Tuesday in Manchester, and my inbox is unusually quiet. It dawns on me that half the team are likely landing in Munich as we speak, on their way to Oktoberfest. A pang of jealousy runs through me but then I remember a trip we took just a couple of weeks ago and suddenly I’m not so jealous anymore.
